CAPTAIN COOK, KONA | Aloha Hills - Hawaii
Rarity! The Captain Cook of Hawaii is one of the highest quality and most exclusive coffees available on the market. The coffee is grown on a length of about 30 kilometers, on the slopes of the volcano Mauna Loa in the western Kona district in Hawaii, the largest island of the archipelago in the central North Pacific. Captain Cook is grown at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,600 meters above sea level. Warm temperatures, sunshine, and the best volcanic soil form the basis for this stunning coffee. Coffee drinkers from all over the world are enthusiastic about this unique combination of full fruity-ripe body, the long-lasting and fine aftertaste as well as the soft acidity. In fact, growing conditions on the island are so good that Kona has the highest yields of Arabica coffee in the world, measured as a percentage of acreage. This is while maintaining the highest quality. The average size of coffee plantations in the island's coffee belt is 1.2 to 2 hectares. The cherries are picked and washed by hand.
